Pick Your Type of Steak

One of the first things you should know when you’re learning how to order steak is to know what kinds are offered, and if they suit your preferences. Here are some of the cuts that Mac’s Chophouse has to offer:


Filet Mignon

A filet mignon is considered to be one of the most tender pieces of beef available. With minimal fat and marbling, the meat is very lean but incredibly soft. The buttery tenderness of the meat melts in your mouth. If you’re prioritizing tenderness, then our 8oz filet mignon is a great option.


Ribeye

When you’re in the mood for a robust flavor profile and plenty of marbling, the ribeye is a prime choice. Cuts like our prime bone-in ribeye or our prime Delmonico ribeye are juicy sections that are full of rich flavor. 


Strip Steak

If you want a balance of tenderness and rich flavor, strip steak may be the cut for you. Coming from the loin, they carry a full beef flavor, while also being fairly tender. Our prime New York strip and prime dry-aged KC strip both offer this flavorful profile.


Wagyu Beef

The longer a steak is cooked, the tougher and drier the meat can become. For most steaks, an optimal option is medium rare, as it provides a good balance of tender and juicy flavor. Filet mignon can be cooked slightly more without losing the balance, though.
